Converted Lapband to Gastric Sleeve
Kyra has been on her weight loss journey for a number of years now. At 283 pounds in 2007, she had the Lap-Band® surgery and successfully dropped down to 157 pounds. However, after some discomfort over the years she made the decision to get the band removed, and subsequently found herself back at 242 pounds within a year.
Not willing to lose this battle, she worked with the team at AtlantiCare and chose to have the Gastric Sleeve procedure in September of 2012. Two years later she was back at 160 pounds. She says her weight loss has given her a better quality of life and that she feels more positive about her health and confident in her clothes.
